QUIZ NIGHT 12th May 2007

 - We held a quiz night at the Scout Hut on Saturday 12th May.  Tickets included a fish & chip supper and a good time was had by all.  Congratulations to the team TOP TEN who came from behind to pip the other teams to the winning post!

SILENT AUCTION/AUCTION OF PROMISES - In spite of a fairly low attendance this night was declared a huge success.  Items auctioned included a leather jacket, a freeview set top box and a three course dinner for eight.

***    THE 100 CLUB   ***

The club has been running for a number of years and as well as being a valuable source of revenue for the Society, provides much better odds for a win than the lottery!  The name comes from the original idea that the club is limited to just 100 numbers, but in fact there is no restriction.  The more members there are, the bigger the prize!

Each member is allocated a unique number, or numbers if you decide to purchase more than one, and then two or three times a year a draw is made.  If your number is picked, you win a prize.  It's that simple!  Each number costs just £1 and the prize could be as much as £75 (depending on when the previous draw was made) so what are you waiting for?

If you would like to join, please print out the mandate form to pay by standing order and return it to Steve Bittlestone.

LOONEY LOTTERY 06/07

The draw for this took place after the Saturday night performance of Cafe Cabaret 07.

Many congratulations to Laura Cromer who won first prize of £70, Lea Stock who won £40 and Edward Aves who won £20.

Many thanks to everyone who bought a square (and to those who bought many more than one!).  We were able to pass on a grand total of £132 to the Society.
